Questions and answers
Who is required to have tourist insurance when entering Georgia?
From January 1, 2026, insurance is mandatory for all foreign citizens entering Georgia as required by law.
What does the IRAO Visitor Insurance policy cover?
The policy covers emergency medical expenses during your trip — from food poisoning to injuries. Light and Standard tariffs provide €10,000 in coverage, Premium — €15,000. For policyholders over 65, expense reimbursement is 50% under IRAO's terms.
What language will my insurance policy be in?
The official IRAO policy is issued in English or Georgian regardless of the language you used to apply — this is a requirement of the IRAO insurer, not something 100doc.ge controls.
How quickly will I receive the policy after payment?
After payment, the policy is sent to the email address you provided when signing up.
What payment methods are available?
Payment is accepted by bank card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay.
Can I get a refund if my trip is cancelled?
Refunds of the insurance premium are governed by IRAO's insurance rules: the statutory right to withdraw from a contract without giving a reason generally does not apply to policies of 14 days or less. The service fee for issuing the policy is non-refundable, since the service is rendered in full at the moment the policy is issued. Full terms are set out in the Refund Policy.
Do I need to print the policy?
No, the policy can be shown at the border either electronically (on your phone) or printed.
What's the difference between the Light, Standard, and Premium tariffs?
Light and Standard provide the same €10,000 insurance coverage — Standard additionally includes priority support via Telegram and WhatsApp. Premium provides increased coverage of €15,000.
Where can I buy tourist insurance for entry to Georgia online?
You can buy the policy right here on 100doc.ge: IRAO Visitor Insurance (Vienna Insurance Group) from €0.99 per day, with coverage up to €15,000. No registration is required — the policy arrives by email about a minute after payment by bank card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.

From €0.99 per day on the Light plan, €1.99 on Standard and €2.99 on Premium. Coverage is €10,000 on Light and Standard and €15,000 on Premium. A 7-day trip starts at €6.93 and a 30-day trip at €29.70 per person.
Does this policy meet the mandatory insurance requirement for entry?
Yes. The policy is issued in Georgian and English — the form border officers expect.
